Yes. The AI marks the subject on a small 320×320 copy, then that mask is stretched over your original, so every pixel of you stays sharp. Only photos above about 16 megapixels get scaled down, because browsers refuse bigger canvases.
The first time, your browser downloads the AI, about 7 MB. After that it is cached and each photo takes a second or two.
Pick the white background and download the JPG. If the form wants it under a size like 50 KB, run it through the Image Compressor next.
