Drop any video, type the size you want in MB, and I squish it to fit. Discord, WhatsApp, email limits: handled.
Works best under ~500 MB. Everything runs on your device, so long 4K videos will take a while. Output is H.264 MP4, which plays everywhere.
QUESTIONS NOBODY ASKED · ANSWERED ANYWAY
No. Compression runs on your device with FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. The video never leaves your browser tab.
It reads the video length, works out the bitrate that fits your target MB, encodes to H.264 MP4, and re-encodes once more if the first pass overshoots.
Your browser is doing the work a server farm normally does, on one CPU core. Expect roughly real time for 720p. Shorter clips and smaller targets go faster.
